“Combining slick guitar skills, heavy drum beats and catchy lyrics, Waiting could easily have many listeners singing along in the car. This song is the perfect rock tune and is bound to find its way onto many a radio station’s playlist. The only fault I could find, in listening to this track, was that this band haven’t been picked up by a major label.” ”

“Jeff handles the lead vocals and drums, Gazz Mason is on the bass and Chad Brown the guitar. “The launch of the EP, Venus Alley, has taken about a year to get to the release stage, Jeff noting, “It’s all been planning, planning, planning. It’s good to see it all start to come together. We are really looking forward to it.” Venus Alley aims at a multi-textured, melody-infused raw rock sound, with the band citing influences such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Jet, Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures. “We are negotiating some spots down in Melbourne to get sort of a three state tour happening. Hopefully we’ll wind up that tour by the end of this year, to get busy [and] back to recording next year,” he says. Collins Class are already halfway through the writing process for the album, “It’s all moving along really well.”” ”

“ALL ABOARD Gold Coast rockers Collins Class are easily distinguished from their local rock counterparts, and it’s not just because of their penchant for wearing maritime garb. With over ten years of performance experience between them, it’s no wonder their live shows are so intoxicating. The guys are playing a series of shows this month to promote the launch of their debut EP Venus Alley, so for a night of nautical nonsense join Collins Class,” ”

“All class impressing a Master! Band Collins Class won their 2011 Global Battle of the Bands Tweed heat. Named after the previously troubled and "noisy as a rock concert" Australian Navy submarine class, the band also placed in the finals of their brisbane heat. And due to the release of debut EP Venus Alley and touring commitments at the time, the boys had no time to move on to Sydney. Lead singer and drummer Jeff Palmer said 2011 was a "step on to the floor" for the, Bassist Gazz Mason and lead guitarist Chad Brown, and the competition helped. "it was pretty cool, and a lot of fun," Palmer said.” ”
